Bloom and Springs

We’re a German duo called Bloom and Springs, made up of Ricky Bloom and Riley Springs. Ricky (22) is the pianist and composer of the duo. Riley (21) plays guitar, writes the lyrics, and composes as well. Our sound is best described as storytelling piano rock. Inspired by the spirit of the 1970s and artists like Elton John, our songs are mainly piano-driven and built around strong melodies and expressive arrangements. Each track invites listeners into a different world. Some are melancholic and romantic, others rhythm-driven and made for dancing, but what they all share is a strong narrative core. The creative process always begins with the lyrics. Riley writes the story first, and only then do we compose the music around it. The music reflects the emotion and character of the narrative so closely that even without the words, you can feel what the song is about. Our songs range from a charming yet dangerous Casanova, to dreams of a luxurious “Fat Cats” lifestyle, to returning to your hometown as the one who once did not fit in. Some deal with love and loss, others celebrate freedom, disco energy, or classic rock ’n’ roll spirit. No two songs are the same, but each one is rooted in honest, character-driven songwriting. This spring, we are releasing our very first album, a project we have worked on with a lot of heart and dedication.
